This gasket was designed to protect the engine mount link assemblies from contact with

the engine mount during off wing maintenance and storage of the engine.

Maintenance manuals currently call out for use of WOOD SHIMS which often fall out or simply are complicated to size or manipulate into position.

This gasket solution by Aerofield Services offers a "PATENT PENDING" option for easy installation and secured protection. The Engine mount gasket includes a red streamer that is made to repel most petroleum products and water to assist with minimizing the occurrence of corrosion. The red streamer also aids as a "remove before flight" reminder that otherwise suggested wood shim alternative does not provide. The Gasket is made of a rubber polyurethane blend which ease of fitment and repels most petroleum products.
